So we spent the first three days of that trip to Sweden at the Danish North Sea coast. Our route followed what became a classic in these years for me: the first stop was Sydmolen at Saturday with a decent north-west wind coming sideshore with some fairly clean 2 meter waves brought into rip-able form by the jetty.

I had a very nice windsurfing session with the small wave board and a 5.0 sail and scored a good dose of fun frontside wave rides. I always had a preference for starboard wind conditions and am a regular footer and therefore preferred Hvide Sande to the port tack wavesailing at the northern Thy spots. The orientation of the beach and the jetty at Sydmolen and the situation of the sandbars during the late nineties and early zeros gave me numerous really good wavesailing sessions in this time.

Saturday night we drove further north and stayed two days in the Klitmoeller area. The west-northwest wind was fading but still pushed in some leftover swell which lead to two days of surfing with my longboard on hip to shoulder high waves.

The sun was shining and the light wind allowed my family to have a bit more fun at the beach, but nevertheless it was time to take the ferry to our original destination.

Monday night we reached Goteborg and found a place to sleep near Kungsbacka.
