But due to the growing popularity of surfing and advanced forecasting tools it obviously will never become the life of the first decade of the century again. Crowds tend to be unbearable here nowadays – like all over the European coasts with a decent wave - particularly with summer holiday season at the doorstep. It is very likely that this day trip will stay my only trip to the Danish North Sea this summer.
Aside from hoping for the odd fun windsurf session at the local Baltic Sea shores and plenty of cycling I will put my focus on other, less accessible, more fickle, less consistent but less crowded shores. Maybe I find a new surfing life this way. Will be very reluctant to talk about this though.
