That was a new experience for me but it was a very welcomed experience. Besides a few other guys that were in the area for a holiday, nobody else knew about this nice little swell. I had two sunny days with several sessions per day with just a few other guys out. It was an extremely pleasant weekend that changed my mindset about North Sea surfing. We stayed until Monday that finally brought the expected windsurfing session in descent northwesterly winds. But the surf sessions before were way more fun.

Looking back at this shows me how privileged we were being amongst the first generation that discovered surfing in Denmark. It also shows what a big loss it is that the Sydmolen (the southern jetty) is now history.
