I finished my surf in the late afternoon and used the remaining time with daylight for another walk along the coast. The wind had dropped a bit, but the sky was overcast now, and it was pretty chilly. The swell was having longer lulls now but at Mini Capo obviously nobody was ready to leave.

At the point a small crew was having fun and occasionally sharing waves. A woman on a boogie board was particularly pleased with the conditions as all of her rides were accompanied with cries of joy. Fascinated by this display of pure joy – basically this is the essence of surfing, one tends to forget this – I watched for a while before I continued my walk to the cape.

The guy on the longboard was out again having another solo session. Set waves were still impressive but with the lighter wind much easier to catch. He caught a good one at the outside peak and rode it all the way through to the inside from where he went to shore. Obviously, the cape finally had rewarded him for his efforts and persistence.
