Sunday, February 11th.

The morning was drizzly again and a light northwest wind was blowing. I checked Lagide and found it pathetic. Time to do some sightseeing again. I filled up diesel at the gas station in Peniche and when I restarted the engine it was once again not running properly. With a second start I at least managed to make it run on four cylinders again, but once on the road the engine continued to have cutouts. I decided to ignore these but made sure to stay on motorways in order to keep the engine more steadily running (and have easier access to breakdown services just in case). The strategy somewhat worked but I nevertheless stayed a bit nervous.

I hinted that the general humidity wasn´t good for whatever was wrong with the engine in addition to the already earlier disruptive factor of curvy roads. At least these curvy roads I could mostly avoid as my next destination lay very close to the motorway.
