Time was running away now. This would be my last few days in Portugal and also the last week and a half of this trip. My sabbatical was about to come to an end soon and I had to prepare to start the long journey home. It would be a gruelling journey, concerning the long drive, the wet and cold winter climate I would have to readapt and mentally, after four months with the ocean and landscapes and stunning culture being the major factors defining my everyday life.
But I had a few days left and was keen to get some more waves down here in Portugal. So, I got up early in the morning at the camping Municipal in Peniche eager to catch a few more waves in this area. It was grey and a constant drizzle made up for some really uncomfortable weather. But the wind was a light southeast and that was good news for the north-facing beaches in the area.
