It didn´t take me long to reach the next town. Somewhere in the middle of it I turned right and found my way to the old town and the coast. The town was almost empty and so I could chose amongst many spaces at a small parking close to the small peninsula hosting an ancient fortress.

The old town borders the sea with steep but unstable cliffs and access to the stony beach is via a ramp in front of the fortress leading down to sort of a promenade on top of a paved shoreline (which is already pretty worn down by the sea). At the tip of the peninsula a pointbreak wave starts to break and runs for quite a distance.

The swell was solid here too and the wind blew almost perfectly side offshore. Still, something was wrong, the tide or the swell direction, and the waves making it round the point were either very weak despite having a good size or – the bigger ones - were having a closeout section at the wrong place. Two guys were out when I arrived but barely got any waves and soon finished their session.
