So, I headed further north, found it flat up there and turned back south, this time without stopping until I reached the southernmost tip of the Sinis peninsula. Shortly before the end of the road I stopped at San Salvatore. This is a small settlement of medieval origin with an ancient church. Nobody seems to live there at least in winter and the village now reassembled one of these “Spaghetti Western” towns.

I had a quick look and then continued the remaining few kilometres to Tharros at the end of the road. I parked the van in another deserted town – I had already got used to this – and walked up to the narrow but quite long Penisola Del Sinis and past the site with the ruins of the antique city. It had mostly stopped to rain now and therefore I could enjoy the view onto the narrow peninsula sticking out into the sea.

Thursday morning the weather had improved with even a bit of sun and a light to medium westerly wind. I returned to Tharros, precisely to the Funtana Meiga beach in hope of a decent windsurf session.
