To get distracted I drove up to the hilltop and went for a walk through the woods and along the massive bunker complexes from WWII. These concrete monsters had hosted batteries of large guns pointing out to the Skagerrak and together with a similar complex on the Norwegian coast and a narrow minefield in between could control the ship passages into the Skagerrak and Kattegat.

The view on the North Sea was blocked by the woods up here but at the end the path reached the edge of the hill and allowed a view down on the fish factory and the sea again. The wind had dropped again, and the swell had risen. The four windsurfers on their tankers still out had a good time. So did the few surfers and SUP-guys who had positioned themselves a bit further down.

Soon the wind almost vanished completely but to my surprise, the windsurfers on their tankers still could plane once they had caught a wave – which did look like an easy task – and savour long rides. Having my damaged shoulder in mind I started seriously considering getting one of these ships myself.
