[episode 1, p3]

Saturday 30th:

IN the morning it was still raining, the wind still came from the wrong direction and the swell was very unorganized. I waited for a while and than decided to drive north. Checked some spots in vain and finally took the ferry.

The wind was dying but when I reached the numerous jetties, the waves were still small and choppy. The mobile phone rang quite a lot as several syndikate members and buddies were coming up and wanted to know more about the waves.

About an hour later it happened. The wind turned offshore and the swell kicked in. We went to the ape tennis court and found out that the swell was even bigger than forecasted. Still a bit unorganized but with plety of juice. At the outside big peaks offered ridable shoulders and the inside had a barreling shorebreak wave, that was rideable. Still hard to get ´em and even harder to find a exit.

The crowd consisted of three buddies at this section and two more at the next section south. All of them got a taqste of how powerfull the north sea can get.

Westerly swells and offshore winds meant that the whole coast would be on fire, so after a while I decided to go to some other place.
