Northwest

The forecast for Tuesday promised a few hours of strong northwest winds for the western part of the Baltic Sea. Reason enough for me to rearrange job schedules and head of just before noon. The plan was to go windsurfing once again after a long pause and maybe squeeze in an additional surf session in the late afternoon when the wind was supposed to drop.
I choose the beach in front of the Genueser Ship and on the first check it looked even better than expected. Strong winds, perfectly sideshore and the sandbanks were in perfect shape, creating some fun little lefts. After some time wasted to find out what is the right combination of mast and extension for the 5.0 sail I was rigging – in fact it took me half an hour and I was already thinking that surfing might be the better option – I went out and had a really nice session, sharing the lefts with only two other windsurfers and a girl kitesurfing. Sun was out too and it felt good. Sorry there is no pics from that perfect two hours ´cause I stayed out until wind and waves dropped.
The rest of the already short day I spent checking another place, not really regretting having spent the best hours of the day somewhere else.
Here´s a few more pics from a nice afternoon at the beach >>>
