When the sun disappeared behind the mountains temperatures started to drop immediately. We had no heating in the van and experienced an extraordinary fresh night. Breath was freezing on the roof of the van and temperatures of minus ten degrees made sparkling water freeze within a second, once it got poured into a glass. The moment when the sun made it over the mountains the next morning was a great relieve.
We cruised a bit along the canyon and then went straight to the coast in the hope that the med would secure a milder climate. Our hope were fulfilled and the rest of our stay at the Cote d´Azur we had acceptable temperatures und plenty of sun. But it was also windless and flat. Time for some sightseeing.
