Julien Taboulet (France_2nd participation on a Wave Classic) I’ve already been to Morocco a few times, in Dakhla and Essaouira. This time in Moulay, I have seen that the local kids have grown up now, those who were selling you the caps and donuts in the past are now on the water with us, and they rip! This is one of the good thing of this contest. We knew from the beginning it would have been more a jumping contest than surfing, but we finally have had enough for everybody with some good surfsailing at the end. There’s nothing much to say about the team ranking as Fettah’s team was favorite from the start, and they won. My team is the last but this is another good thing about the Wave Classic, it’s that we all have sailed to the max and had good times on the water. It’s just magic to go on the water and sail for his team mates without any pressure! My best souvenir was to finish this event with a perfect down the line free session with all the friends, after 3 rounds…
Leo Ray (France_part of the Winning team and 1st participation on a Wave Classic) First time for me competing with the team concept. I liked it a lot. The feeling to go to the water thinking not only about myself but about my team mates was very nice. It was giving a lot of energy to ride in order to bring back points to Fettah, Bouj, Graham. I am happy with the ranking. My team won. It is great. I had a lot of fun on the water and with the other guys, to win brought me even more satisfaction on top of everything. Morocco is an incredible place for travelling and windsurfing for sure. The culture is amazing, the local people is super nice as well as the conditions on the water. I definitely appreciated Morocco and its local people. Last time I came to Morocco was 3 years ago. The local guys were already ripping but today they all have reached another level. I think they really have their place within the pro riders.
Camille Juban (Guadeloupe) The ‘EWC’ was a super event and for sure, another great experience, especially for the Hawaiians that never had the chance to go in a country of Africa and I’m happy I could share these moments with them. Unfortunately, our team did not score that much but it was a real pleasure to watch Boujmaa and Fettah flying during the Jump Contest. It was also good to see again all the young locals I did not see since 5 years and let’s say that now, these guys just dominate the spot. See you next year with the ‘Moulay Dream team’! next page >>>
