It was already pretty late with about an hour of light left but the tide should be deep enough again to allow a short session before dark. At the tip of the peninsula the North Sea started to distract me from driving with a couple of fine lines. But I managed the last few hundred meters drive without an accident and could take a closer look. What I saw, was good. The tide was low enough and all the major peaks were working.
The outside produced some very nice lefts when set waves made it into the bay. The reef managed to create the odd fast right. And the inside turned everything that made it through into a longer left and a short right.
The swell still had good size and the light wind from the west was perfect. Temperatures were still in the double digit (centigrade) range. I might repeat myself, but this was some of the best surfing conditions you can get at the North Sea.
Despite an already long day of surf most surfers showed no intention to get back to the beach and stayed out until way after sunset.
