The breaking waves still don´t match what the old Symolen had on offer prior to the construction of the extended jetties but allowed for some fun backside to frontside wave-sailing combos at the outer breaks and the board had just enough volume for an easy sail back out after the ride. It actually was some very nice wave sailing and I had a lot of fun. Just the volume of the light wind board was a bit too much for the frontside turns and held me a bit back on doing them with the preferred speed and sharpness.

So, when I was ready for a break anyway, I headed to the van, had a quick coffee, grabbed my small wave board and headed back to the beach. The weather was mostly sunny and generally very pleasant now, but the wind had gone a little bit down. I hoped that it was just right at the beach that the wind was so light and hopped for stronger winds at the outside. But I failed to get through the inside impact zone in the very light winds despite several tries.
