I got back to the hostel, changed and went to town to get some decent coffee and buy some food. Then I walked up the hill to have a look at North Bay. The tide was perfect now and the waves were much better here. Now I regretted that I had wasted my energy at South Bay. Tomorrow I would paddle out here.

I didn´t feel like driving to explore other areas today and the swell was pretty small anyhow, so I stayed in town and took it easy in the afternoon.

At night, I went to eat out with my roommate, a guy from Brighton who works as bookkeeper. As there where only Italian restaurants open we ended up having pasta. We had a conversation about the general state of Great Britain and touched the Brexit topic too.

He told me that there is very low unemployment at the moment, but people are having difficulties to make their living because the wages are so low. He blamed this on EU immigrant workers, who are obviously way better skilled and work for less money.
