There were only three guys out and we were ready to skip breakfast at all when we realized that the bus, that had followed us to the parking was going to change the situation quite a bit. It was the bus of that local school that had included surfing as a major subject to its timetable. 20 girls and guys were hastily getting into their wetsuits and paddled out. We decided to have breakfast now.
A bit later the school was still out but we joined the pack anyhow. We were overdue for a few rides. Peaks were a bit shifty and the tide wasn´t exactly perfect so the session was far from epic but still o.k. After about two hours we were done for the moment. Knowing the swell would last all day we went to check some other places.
First stop was at windsurfer´s heaven at the Fish Factory. Lines were rolling in here too and they looked good from up the hill. But knowing that down on the sea these lines usually only suit SUPs and very large longboards we decided not to drive down. It didn´t help much to spot another school bus parked down there and plenty of pupil bobbing out at the left in front of the small jetty.
