It was pretty late already so my ride over the narrow and windy roads to the point was a bit hectic. I parked the van bit further down the road and had to walk about 5 minutes until I reached the cliffs and had a view on the bay. 4 surfers were out and had a couple of options.
To the south a left point break was discernible, but the tide was obviously already too high and despite the good size of the swell the left did not really break anymore. One guy was giving it a try in vain for some time before he gave up.
In the middle of the bay another left was running, and it did this with speed and good length, so the small crew out there had some fun and the odd clean up set. But the main attraction, the right-hand point was not working properly.
To be precise, there was the odd set that lit it up. One of these teaser sets tempted two guys to paddle over but then for half an hour northing similar happened and they returned to the left only to witness another freak set hitting the point and sending 4 perfect but unridden waves all along the rocky shore.
