The late breakfast in the Pasteleria around noon had been my only nutrition for the whole day and I was pretty exhausted now. So, I slowly started the ascent back up the hill but couldn´t help but stop again and again and watch in utter disbelief when the next set arrived. It had to become completely dark before I could leave.
What an incredible day! And there was more to come. The forecast for the following day promised better wind conditions with that exceptional swell only slowly dropping.
Back up the hill I cooked some noodles and refilled my energy storages. I dragged the many digital images from the day onto my hard drive and loaded up the camera batteries, processed a few files for social media release and then went to bed early.
