From the parking at the dead end of the road it´s just a very short walk to the sea and with the first glance I could verify that my adviser hadn´t exaggerated with his description of this beach. To the left a couple of islands, rocky headlands and sandy beaches formed an archipelago that looked more like the Caribbean than northern Europe. To the right a large beach of fine white sand stretched for about a kilometre to the west.

The wind was blowing side shore and further down west a few small waves were breaking in front of a small rock island. I walked along the dunes bordering the sand beach to check that break in front of the rock.  Waves were small and barely surf-able, but a handful of beginners were out having fun. For me it was too small. But the ay was well ventilated by what seemed to be a 20 to 23 knot westerly wind and I decided to go for a sailing session.

I rigged up my 5.0 sail and took the wave board and sailed out between the islands and headed upwind. The wind was just strong enough for my sail and outside there were a few wicked currents, but it was a nice sail in beautiful surrounding.
