In the late afternoon I could get in. It was a small apartment in a large building just behind the coast road and it was neatly furnished and – most important – warm and dry. It was the first time since 6 weeks that I would have the comfort of spending the evening and night in a house and as much as I like living in my van, I enjoyed it.
Monday morning, I woke up warm and cosy, had breakfast without having to wear multiple layers of clothing and then went out to a still grey sky albeit with less rain. The wind was still onshore, but less strong. The swell came from the south and had some size. It wasn´t really clean but the reef managed to create some ride-able rights. These had some size but rapidly deteriorated in quality as the wind slowly picked up again.
I went to check more of the south-facing coastline of the bay but soon was distracted by something looking like a strange village surrounded by a large wall. I stopped to check and found out that this was a graveyard in an exquisite location with almost unhindered sea view.
