The view from up there was well worth the effort. But this part of the town was almost deserted. Judging from the well maintained condition of the buildings I guessed that most of the people who live here permanently might have moved to easier accessible parts of the town – the narrow and steep alleys are not really accessible by car and getting up and down to your home is a physical exercise many people rather avoid – and most of the older buildings up here were nowadays used for holiday purposes.
Down at the river the town was a bit livelier and I found an open bar to have a coffee. Then I had a walk along the river which was quite nice with the view on the fancy boats and the old storehouses on the other side.
The sun now had the occasional appearance in between the clouds and the westerly wind seemed to have dropped a bit. I drove out of town and over a hill to a parking on the cliffs overlooking the coast north of Bosa. The road had followed a little valley leading down to an almost even area bordering the sea in a series of little headlands and bays.
