Tuesday, November 28th
The morning was cold and overcast and a fresh easterly wind was blowing. I had breakfast in my bar and then drove to that west-facing beach. Waves were shoulder-high and nicely shaped by the offshore.
I waited for the sun to come out and then paddled out with my longboard. Five other guys were out and mostly surfed the rights, aside from the lonely longboarder who preferred the lefts. I paddled to the outside and planned to stick with the lefts too. It was far from crowded and so I expected a relaxed session in fun to pretty good waves.
The waves held everything they promised. But once I was out one of the locals started paddling closer and yelling at me. It turned out that he was the guy whom I had burned yesterday morning. I calmly responded in apologizing again and telling him that this incident had happened unintentionally. He didn´t even listen and kept yelling and uttering threats. I decided to leave him in his rage and get some waves. I only went when nobody else was in position for the lefts and had a few nice ones. But the moaning guy managed to keep a bad vibe in the lineup and so I decided to leave.
