One narrow paved road crosses the island and there are a few additional gravel tracks and foot paths following the rugged coastline and sometimes crossing the hills. I followed a track leading east into one of these rock landscapes, that are typical for the area in resembling more an outdoor rock sculptor’s studio.
I tried a few of the foot paths leading into these rocky labyrinths hoping they would turn out to be bike-able single tracks but repeatedly ended at some un-cyclable steep and blocked sections after a couple of meters. Seems like the majority of these tracks is only hike-able. Still the panorama was great and on one of these trails led me to a little wood which turned out to be the local rock-art studio.
I fooled around a bit within the exhibition but generally gave up the idea to search for technical mountain bike tracks and turn the ride into a sightseeing tour instead. I cycled back to the road junction and then further down to the funny formed southernmost tip of the island. This area is a paradise for bathing in summer and offers a myriad of secluded bays and little islets for people lucky enough to own a boat.
