After a while he rode a foamy in and left the beach only to return a little bit later with a bigger board. This time he paddled out at the northern part of the bay. But there the waves were not breaking properly. Meanwhile an elderly guy had arrived and somehow made it out in the southern bay. But somehow, he behaved strange in the lineup, like he was completely overstrained by the conditions. I was a bit worried and had a close eye on him until after what seemed an eternity he managed to catch a smaller wave and ride a straight-hander safely back into the bay and finally got back to the beach.
That episode had made me stay longer than I wanted and once it felt under control I immediately headed back to the other side of the peninsula. Mini capo had shoulder-high waves and was quite crowded but not that frenzy madness that so often plagues this wave. It looked like a good opportunity to get used to this wave. So, I paddled out to the main peak on my longboard and cautiously started to figure out where to position myself.
