In the afternoon the wind still had shown no intention to drop and I gave up the idea of windsurfing. With the increasing swell the logging spot should be quite good now, especially as the wind would be side-offshore there.

Set waves were shoulder high here and for the first time since my arrival it was the most crowded of the handful of spots in the area. The usual crew of elderly men on longboards was out plus quite a few guys who normally would have been out at Mini Capo. I joined them and paddled into my standard position just outside the main peak. There I waited patiently for set waves while the majority of my fellow surfers were chasing the normal sized sets in huge numbers.

I had a few really good waves, rights and lefts, all running fairly long and some with more speed than usually at this break. The weather wasn´t that pleasant and the stiff wind made my longer waits for set waves a bit unpleasant, but all in all it was a very nice session. It was probably the best option for this day. I quit shortly before sunset, went to the bar to warm up and later drove to Riola to devour a large pizza together with a cold Ichnusa.
