But it was ok having a slow day, as westerly swells were on the horizon. I left in the late afternoon with enough energy to survive the curry and later on the motorway very bumpy drive back down to the Sinis peninsula. I arrived just after dusk, had a quick beer in “my” bar and went to bed early. Strong winds and solid swell were forecasted for the following day.
Sunday, November 26th
For the first time since a while I could have my breakfast in the bar and watch on breaking waves in front of it. Made for a good coffee-with-a-view experience but with some underlying nervousness. It´s hard to stay calm when after a few flat days the sea kicks back into action again.
Waves were still small here but with the odd log-able set. The wind was light at dawn but kicked in during the late morning and soon reached 35 knots and more. My plan A was to go windsurfing, precisely to do some proper wave-sailing.
