I felt safer there and as it was early afternoon and therefor very probable to find the garages closed for at least another hour, I decided to head for a washing saloon first (this was overdue as I was already running out of clean clothes). So, I stopped at a Autogrill on the motorway, had a cappuccino and checked my oh so smart phone and its maps app in search of a laundry at the easily reachable outskirts of the town.
I found one that was open and followed the directions of the app and to my surprise actually was led to an existing washing saloon (which wasn´t a given as the app had directed me into nothing a few times before). I loaded the machine and went for a bar to kill the time necessary to clean my laundry.
Once finished I checked the app again now for garages but found none specifically suited for my IVECO van. I decided to trust my van one more time and head to the beach instead. And indeed, the engine was running without any moaning again and so I headed north in direction to the Archipelago Maddalena.
