So, I left the town and went for more driving in direction of the Capo Caccia where I planned to visit some caves the other day. Alongside the road I found no place to stay, so I drove all the way to the dead end on the cape and spent the night on a parking near the entrance to the caves.

The next morning it turned out that this place was offering a great view above the cape and the bay and I enjoyed breakfast with a brilliant panorama.

Then I drove the short distance to the dead end of the road and the entrance to the cave. It was off season and I was early and so I found a place to park my van at the small parking lot in front of the bar where you can buy the ticket for the cave. The cave can only be visited by a guided tour which started a little bit later. Besides me it was just a handful of other people which I appreciated a lot.

We walked down a long stair along the step cliff to the entrance to the cave at sea level. The entrance to the cave already gives an idea of what to expect deeper inside the caves. Some mighty stalagmites frame the tunnel which leads into the cave. During summer time you can make boat excursions from the small harbor at the southern side of the cape which lead straight to the entrance of the cave. There will probably park a whole flotilla in front of the cave but now it was all quiet.
