So, I continued my drive south keeping a good part of my concentration on enjoying the view. At a particular narrow and windy part of the road I had to focus more on driving but suddenly I spotted something down at the sea in the wrinkle of my eye.
I immediately hit the brakes and luckily there was a small gravel track besides the road that I could use to stop.
I switched off the engine and walked across the road and a few meters to the edge off the cliff. Down there it was. Swell lines were travelling into the otherwise absolutely calm and oily waters of the fjord and met a perfectly formed rock shelf. Here the swell got transformed into something resembling a mini Malibu.
Perfect oily waves peeled along that little point. A couple of meters further down another wave was breaking. This looked very much like a surfer´s paradise. I watched in awe for a while, hoping for a bigger set to arrive.
But it didn´t come and so the waves stayed just that notch too small. It was a miracle anyway that they were breaking that deep into the fjord. Must get epic with big winter swells.
