We were soaking wet now and it was still pouring down but the view from up here was well worth the effort. Yet, it was a bit uncomfortable up here, so we didn´t stay long and soon went for the descent via the slippery sort of path down the cirque. Back at the plain our shoes were spitting little water fountains with every step and my jeans was exhaling bubbles probably from some detergent remnants left from the last washing a couple of weeks ago.
Back at the van we somehow had to change into dry clothes while the van became a flowstone cave from the increasing number of clothes hung up to dry (sort of). But we had had a veritable adventure and the boys were happy and started to celebrate it with one of the Whisky bottles from the Reykjavik airport duty free.
I couldn´t join as I was the driver, and we still had a few hours on the road. The drive was somewhat strenuous due to the nasty weather and become increasingly unnerving for me particularly with my lads emptying the bottle and becoming increasingly jolly.
