From here on westwards the coast is almost completely inaccessible until the southern tip of the peninsula. Back down at the sea I had a stop at a small lava tongue sticking out at the sea and pondered which one of the many reef / point setups would work best in the small swell.
The reef pretending to be a slab received the most swell, but I decided not to like it. At least the wind here was just a very light onshore and this was good for another reef with even better exposition that I already knew from before.
The tide was too low when I arrived, so I parked the van at a place with sea view and got some work done. In the evening I paddled out and surfed a few waves. These had some punch and set waves were shoulder high, but it was a bit spooky out there alone and I kept the session short.
Late in the night I drove to the airport to pick up two friends who had come over for a 4-day trip hoping to catch some waves too.
