| I found a place to park my van besides the road and walked over to the cliff edge to see if there was a way down to the rocky shore. But it was impossible, at least without climbing gear. So, I continued my clockwise rounding of the peninsula on the gravel road which for a while stayed way up above the ocean.  I was already heading southeast and into the Skagafjörður when the road finally started to descend again. I had glimpsed some motion down at sea during my drive and knew that I was still on a sufficiently exposed part of the peninsula and therefor still had hopes to find a place offering some waves at least surfable on my longboard. A reef plate sticking out in front of a little bump in the coastline with a pointy character caught my attention. Not far from this setup another reef made the tiny swell break in a promising looking way. But both places were inaccessible. I indeed managed to find a parking place not too far away from these breaks but to get to the cliff edge I would have had to climb a few fences and cross private farmland.
