The beach at Tjornovik turned out to be a very small one but laid in an amphi-theatre like surrounding of once again steep cliffs and high mountains. Would have been one of the most scenic places I ever surfed if there had been any waves. Small ripples were running in and I stayed for quite a while in the hope for some unpredicted surge but it never happened.
So, I finally left and drove back along the fjord between the two islands, had a quick stop at another beautiful waterfall and then crossed the ocean on a standard bridge that spanned the narrow gap between Streymoy and Esturoy. I drove to the north coast again and checked into a camping / trailer park at a former football field (with artificial lawn) at Eidi, one of the bigger towns of the island.
There I had my first real food for the day which was a large pot of noodles that I cooked in my van. It was past 8 pm now but the noodles had filled up my energy levels and so I went for a little bicycle ride. I just followed the one lane road along the north coast which after a while left the coast and led inland up to a summit.
