That allowed me another - even better - longboard session in almost glassy and often long running waves which even had a bit more juice once they reached the inside. Everybody else on a board with sufficient volume had a good time too. This applied especially to the guys on the kayaks, who were out at the barely breaking peaks further east and rode them all the long way to the inside at the small jetty.

The guy on the foil SUP was scoring the longest rides though. He had to take quite a few waves on the head at the outside peak close to the end of the long jetty, but once he managed to catch the wave he kept riding over the flats until he reached the middle peak, often coming from the “wrong” direction – he entered the wave from the flat part of the shoulder and surfed it against its breaking direction - and passed this peak until far into the inside near the small jetty. His rides were often a good 400 meters long.

Waves and wind styed mellow until sunset and, in the end, it was a relaxed day of long cruises. It was not the expected day of glorious drops and fast rides, but it was a nice day.
