Finisterre-2020-162h

I kept the break short and was soon out again, enjoying the warm sun, calm sea and long running waves. It came pretty close to what I consider a perfect summer surfing day. In the evening I drove over to my other favorite bay on the peninsula to check if I had missed something but got confirmed that I had made the better choice with Goulien. With sunset I headed over to Morgat and had an excellent burger at one of the restaurants at the promenade (siting outside of course). Perfect finish for a very good day.

This was my last day before I had to drive back home and naturally, I was up at first light and immediately headed over to the coast. It was sunny and calm, and the tide was very low. Too low for the sandbars at this break to work properly but it was already clear that some decent swell was running. Having developed some back pain again – probably surfed too much the past days – I had to time my session carefully, as I wouldn´t be able to surf too long.
