At least the rain had stopped when I left the airport. My boards had arrived without any damage and after wandering around a little bit I found my car. Kussi had parked this a bit worn down but stylish Mercedes on the parking lot, where I picked it up and loaded it. I cruised north at a speed appropriate to the cars age (80 km p h) and shortly before the miniature dunes the sun came out. Looked like a good start! The only irritating thing was that I felt a bit worn. I hoped this was because of the air-condition of the plane and / or the acclimatization from cold northern Europe to cosy Canary Islands and not because of a bug that I had brought from Hamburg to breed it here.
Didn´t do much for the rest of the day, just checked in at Kussie´s apartment and went for the supermarket to stock some food. And I changed cars, as somebody else was in desperate need of my Mercedes. Got an upgrade to an 80ies VW California. Didn´t regret this.
