datrip: At the moment you earn your living mainly with snowboarding. How do you see your future and what role will surfing have in it?

Flo: I dream about a house at the sea in northern Spain. Finding out how to get there, what to work there and to meak it real will be my mission for the years to come. I will definitely stick with surfing and I will try to synch my life to it!

datrip: Northern Spain? Goooood choice! I know a couple of nice places there... And you still can go snowboarding there! Do you intend to keep your versatility with the different board sports – surfing, snowboarding, windsurfing – and your other outdoor activities or will you set priorities and let loose off some parts to invest more time in other projects or even a family?

Flo: With all the sports I do surfing is the most important to me! That´s why I have the goal to have a base at the ocean some day, ´cause, you mentioned it, I surely want to have a family and that would mean to have less time for traveling. But that has some more time and the change of the different activities gives me a lot of pleasure!

datrip: yep, settling down comes early enough....

What are your goals in surfing for the near future?

Some areas in the world that you must go to?

Flo: At the moment western Australia interests me a lot cause one of my best freinds has moved over to Perth and on traveling I have meet some people from this area. I´d like to visit all of them! I´m also interested in South America but first of all I have to recover from my injury before I can make new plans.

datrip: and the circle is completed:

How´s your back?

Is the moment in sight when you can get back into the water or onto the slopes?

Flo: Thanks for asking! Funny thing is that during the interview, which is running for some time now (several weeks via E-mail), a lot has happend. The winter is surely lost but I hope I can surf again in summer. I´m looking forward for that...

datrip: We cross our fingers!

Last questions:

Did you ever surf in the semi local seas of the mediterranean, north sea or even baltic sea? If yes, how did it feel? If no, would that interest you?

Flo: Yes, I once surfed in tha med. But I think it was a mistake to go there as I just came back from Sri Lanka and asked myself what the hell I was doing here...
