Beauvallon

Little village for holiday purposes – like most of the often-unsustainable developments along the Golfe de Saint-Tropez – with a mix of sandy beaches and rocky headlands at the north side of the gulf. Most of this quite nice coastline is privately owned an covered by campgrounds and holiday villages. Beach access is limited and parking space is sparse and for vehicles higher then 1,9 m almost non-existent.

The gulf and with it the Beauvallon beaches are very protected from winds and swells. Only with strong easterly winds – and resulting wind swells – things get interesting here for windsurfers / kitesurfers / surfers. The action mainly happens in plain winter but when it´s on, people from as far as Italy come here for a proper wave-sailing / kite-surfing session. With winds that do not have storm force this is a nice place for cruising through the bay.
