The sun was shining more often now and wind seemed to stay down. Maybe the point was looking better now. I had a quick check of how much daylight was left and hastily drove out of town to the south. Due to weekend traffic I could not advance as quick as I wanted and when I reached the parking at the other bay the sun was already very low.

When I reached the cliff edge the sun hid behind some clouds. The light wasn´t impressive now. But the raging North Sea down there was impressive. Too impressive. The swell was too big and waves started breaking far outside. This way only large white-water walls reached the point. The point did its best to give these foam walls some order but it was absolutely not surf-able.

The wind was biting cold on the cliff and I was already leaving when the sun appeared again underneath the clouds. It stood very low but managed to start an impressive light show. The Armageddon of ocean and the racing clouds were put into dramatic red, orange and yellow light. It was one of these shows that mother nature only puts on in stormy winter evenings at the Sea. Despite another hail shower and totally numb fingers I couldn´t leave and stayed until the last rays of the sun completely disappeared.
