This led to a decent crowd out there but due to the challenging conditions and the abundance of excellent waves it never got that packed that people start to ruin each other’s waves by multiple drop-ins like on the smaller days.

Like always the point had far less people surfing it. In fact, it was just three or four guys out there, probably because it was more exposed to the wind and is generally less consistent and the wave breaks a bit freaky sometimes. The rock a bit further down the line that falls dry when waves suck out too much water may also reduce its attraction. But with a bit of luck and experience you nevertheless can score long rides with some tubey sections over here.

But to be honest, it was very understandable, that the majority stuck to the main reef. The swell had not only not backed down but become slightly bigger. The wind had dropped a bit and the combining result were some excellent waves. And with excellent we are not “just” talking about Mediterranean standards. This would have been called excellent surf at the Atlantic too.
