Fickle East Coast
Monday morning was sunny again but with a very chilly north wind. I spent the morning taking a shower and shaving and generally trying to make my appearance a bit more civilized again as the frantically travelling from one wow place to the next during the past days had left very little room for manicure. Around noon I felt human enough to venture out for further exploration.
The wind was still northeast and so I headed further north to check a couple of potential surf spots to make the best of the time to kill until the cold onshore would eventually drop and – hopefully – turn offshore. But aside from the fantastic landscape I only found small windblown waves not even remotely worth paddling out. My mood gradually turned grumpy and in the late afternoon I returned to that wonderful private bay and I checked into the overprized “campground” which in fact is a parking lot in front of the “Viking Café”.
