Ice-EP14-41h

When we passed Vik, I urgently needed another break, and we left the main road and drove to Dyrhólaey. The rain had eased off a little bit and there is no need for long walks from the parking at the north side of the cape. Aside from the glorious landscape puffins are the main attraction of this place and they were sitting on top of the cliff in huge numbers, just a stone´s throw away from the parking. Nothing new for me but the boys liked it.

We stayed a couple of minutes and then were back on the road. The next quick stop was at the stunning Seljalandsfoss. Despite having been wet more than enough already we made the walk around the back of the waterfall. Nothing new for me but the boys liked it.

From here on the drive south gets boring. It was already dark when we reached Sellfoss where we had a huge load of pizza. Despite being really tired now, we managed the remaining half-hour drive to the place where we expected some surf the following day. We drove onto the campground, went to bed and immediately fell asleep.
