The next day the early morning drive to Majanicho was even quicker, as the workers were realy quick in paving that road. Downside is, that they do it, because in Majanicho too there is a plan to build a way oversized tourist town. North of the bay they have already plastered the desert with hundreds of houses that are almost finished. And they plan to break down the shacks at the bay and build a marina there. F§%^ing idiots! They destroy the treasures that make the tourists come.
When we reached Hierro, those sad thoughts were quickly swept out of our minds - at least for the moment - as that 1,5m swell had arrived and turned out to be, lets say, a bit more than overhead. Winds had the right direction again and the incoming waves were perfect. Too big for me though, so I decided to take pictures of the action while time went for a brave attempt and a spectacular wipeout. La Derecha de los Alemanes, La Izquierda and La Derecha / the bubble were firering.
Around noon we checked Majanicho. The waves on the reef were perfect too and a solid force 5 to 6 sideoffshore wind was blowing. Some windsurfers had the time of their life out there and I was biting my a$$ for not having brought my windsurf equipement.
