Malpica:

This is a very nice little town near Cabo de San Adrian. Itīs dominated by itīs fishing port and has a very high bar to inhabitant ratio which leeds to a surprisingly exciting nightlife. This starts realy late like everywhere in Spain. Especialy on weekends You have to go out at night, even when the next morning surf session meens a hard wakeup call.

The north facing town beach is the place to be during the day. The beachbreak gets a lot of swell and works best with waves up to 2m and mid tide. As itīs situated right in front of town thereīs a lot of bars and restaurants to still Your first thirst and hunger after the session. And itīs fun watching the locals promenade.....

surf: this is more a summer spot as winter waves are too big to be surfed here. Due to the northern orientation of the beach summer sees a lot of fun waves, most of them are rights. Crowds were no problem when I was there but itīs a town spot so give the locals priority!

bike: there is some nice bicycle routs at the small roads and pistes around town. Make a tour to Cabo de San Adrian or Punta Roncudo when there is no surf. Mountainbikes are the best call for the pistes and the stitchy macchia. You might find some other surf beaches on cruisinī through that beautiful area........
