Badesi

Badesi is a small town on a hill close to the mouth of the river Coghinas, founded by fishermen in the 17th century. Its main attraction is the surrounding beautiful nature with large marshes, more hills and very wide and fine beaches. Due to its biodiversity the coastal area has become a world nature reserve.

The town hosts the obligatory church, some restaurants and shops. Down at the beach at Badesi Mare is some tourist infrastructure with campgrounds, beach bars and holiday houses, all of them closed in winter.

Surfing: the long and fine beach hosts some nice sandbars and the northwest orientated coast catches Mistral swells unfiltered. Unfortunately, it also gets Mistral winds onshore. But on days combining westerly swells and favourable winds – mainly in winter or just after a Mistral period – the sandbars provide some very nice peaks.

Windsurfing / Kiteboarding: south-westerly winds are best and in combination with a decent swell offer fine wave-sailing conditions.
