climate:

relatively mild winters with temperatures between 5^o and 12^o C, cool summers with 15^o to 25^o C. Water temps between 10^o and 16^o C. Wetsuits needed year round.

Rain comes regularely year round but never stays long.

wind:

Main wind direction is west. As depressions pass it usually starts with south to southwesterly winds and a lot of rain. These directions come sideoff to sideshore from the left side. The wind then normally turns west which sideonshore. Northwest comes full onshore and only is usefull for the kiteboarders. North to northeast comes when the depression passed and brings sideon to sideshore conditions with the wind now blowing from the right side.

This circle is most likely to happen in spring and autumn. Wind forces vary between 5 und 7. Winter sees bigger storms. Summer has the odd low passing and light winds with some afternoon thermals.

waves:

the swell window goes from west to northwest. Winter sees solid waves. Spring and autumn has waves allmoste every day. Summer is still o.k. with some small waves and a bigger swell once in a while

best wind directions for surfing are easterly directions. South also works quite good.

All tides work, mid tide is best. Bottom is sand. This is a pure beachbreak.
