Some wannabe fairy tale king rich guy had been responsible for the design of this castle. It became such a weird mix of styles and architectural elements that the whole ensemble now is cult. Sometimes madness is genius or vice versa. This applied to the facades as well as to the interior.
Inside the labyrinthic castle the tour leads you through a succession of extensively decorated rooms, everyone significantly different from the others. One wonders on which drugs the mastermind behind this feverish interior design has been but has at least to admire the exquisite craftsmanship applied to architecture and furniture.
Passing through these rooms nevertheless caused sort of a sensory overload, but definitely was fascinating. And the good thing was that there were very few people besides me and allowed an unconfined of the rooms as a whole and the details.
