Despite the overcast sky and the dimmed colours, it was one of these wow-views that you find so often in Norwegian landscapes. From that slab the path dropped down to a small lake and the along the mountain flank leading down to the fjord.

I still had no clue what that Kolbolten could be and just followed the signs until the path reached a crevice above the fjord with a rock trapped between the cliffs. That obviously was the Kolbolten and by itself would not have been worth the effort hiking down here. I ate a bit and then was back on the road and about an hour later reached Borshavn.

A little bit of wind was blowing, and I checked the point to make sure I wasn´t missing anything. It was side-onshore and the waves were small and a lonely kite-boarder was playing around. I wasn´t interested and went back to the harbour where I bough a burger in the kiosk for dinner and went to bed soon after.
